College Football was bowling on New Year’s Eve with four games on the Collegiate Grid Iron as Vanderbilt commadored North Carolina State 38-24 in the Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl as Zac Stacy had 107 rushing yards and a score as Vandy notched their 1st nine win season since 1915…wow, USC was stung by the Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech in the Hyundai Sun Bowl 21-7 as Tevin Washington passed and rushed for a TD, Tulsa muscled past Iowa State 31-17 in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl as Tulsa rushed the rock for 317 yards and finally in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, Clemson shocked the Tigers of LSU on a last second field goal to notch the 25-24 win as DeAndre Hopkins had 191 receiving yards and 2 TD’s.

James Harden 28 points
led the Rockets over

The National Basketball Association had six games on the hard-court as my home city Orlando Magic took the defending champion Miami Heat to overtime but came up short 112-110 as LeBron James put on a magical show of 36 points and 11 boards, the Houston Rockets clipped the wings of the Atlanta Hawks 123-104 with 28 basket filling points from James Harden, the Indiana Pacers got past the Memphis Grizzlies 88-83 with 21 points from Paul George, while the Charlotte Bobcats snapped their 18 game losing streak by outlasting the Chicago Bulls 91-81 with Kemba Walker’s 18 points, the San Antonio Spurs literally spanked the Brooklyn Nets 104-73 with 20 points from Tony Parker and the OKC Thunder put out the heat on the Phoenix Suns 114-96 with a usual day at the office for Kevin Durant with 30 points.
