            TNT was the channel to be tuned into last night as they had two games featured however comma I kick off this segment with the LA Clippers getting 29 sizzling hot points from Chris Paul as they get past the Indiana Pacers 99-91, the 1st game on TNT pitted the Chicago Bulls against the Philadelphia 76ers as Joakim Noah was nothing shy of a beast as he notched his 3rd triple-double of 23 points, 21 glass grabbing rebounds and 11 monster blocks as the Bulls knock off the 76ers 93-82 and in the 2nd game, the Minnesota Timberwolves caught the wrath of the Black Mamba as Kobe Bryant poured in 33 points as my LA Lakers annihilated the Timberwolves 116-94.

            Men’s College Basketball witnessed an seismic upset as unranked Virginia UPSET 3rd ranked Duke 73-68 as Joe Harris was ballin’ outside of his mind with 36 basket filling points, 2nd ranked Gonzaga avoided an upset themselves as they defeated BYU 70-65 with 19 points from Kelly Olynyk, 16th ranked Ohio State cruised past Northwestern 63-53 with 24 points from Lenzelle Smith, Jr., 24th ranked Oregon outlasted Oregon State 85-75 as Carlos Emory netted 21 points off the bench and 25th ranked Louisiana Tech blasted Utah State 84-61 as Raheem Appleby scored 15 points.

            The National Hockey League was jammed packed with 11 games on the frozen ice as I run down Round One of NHL scores as the Chicago Blackhawks SHUT OUT the St. Louis Blues 3-0 as they win their 20th consecutive game, the New Jersey Devils lost 3-1 to the Winnipeg Jets, a shoot-out was needed as the Buffalo Sabres defeat the Florida Panthers 4-3, while the New York Rangers pound the Florida Lighting 4-1, the Carolina Hurricanes pasted the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 and in overtime, the Boston Bruins eked out the 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.

             Women’s College Basketball had a plethora of ranked games as I run down the top seven ranked teams starting with 4th ranked Stanford ringing Washington’s bells 71-36 as Chiney Ogwumike dialed up another double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, 5th ranked Duke was UPSET by unranked Miami 69-65 with 16 points from Stefanie Yderstrom, 6th ranked Cal got the best of Washington State 73-60 as Layshia Clarendon had the nets singing with 26 points, 7th  ranked Penn State was UPSET by unranked Minnesota 89-81, while 8th ranked Tennessee ran past 13th ranked Texas A&M 82-72 with 18 points from Meighan Simmons, 9th ranked Maryland was UPSET by 24th ranked Florida State 72-71 as the free throws from Alexis Deluzio sealed the deal and 10th ranked Kentucky tamed, trounced, and tarnished, Alliteration, I Love It, Ole Miss 90-65 as coach Matthew Mitchell tied Terry Hall as Kentucky’s winningest women’s basketball coach, and finally, in the Sunbelt Conference, Middle Tennessee took Troy to the woodshed 85-63 as Kortni Jones lite up the scoreboard with 29 points and Ms. Double-Double herself in Ebony Rowe poured in 10 points and grabbed 17 rebounds off the glass.

            For Round 2 of NHL scores, the Minnesota Wild escapes with a 4-3 win over the Phoenix Coyotes, the Calgary Flames was defeated by the Colorado Avalanche 5-4, the Edmonton Oilers crushed the Dallas Stars 5-1, the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Florida Panthers 4-3 in shoot-out, the Maple Leafs won in the OT 5-4 against the New York Islanders and the Detroit Red Wings needed a shoot-out to get past the San Jose Sharks 2-1.
