Green Bay wins the Horizon Title
            Championship Week also concluded in Women’s College Basketball yesterday as 20th ranked Green Bay wrapped up the Horizon Title by slamming, squashing and right foot stump, left stump, Alliteration, I Love It, on Loyola of Illinois 54-38 with 17 points from Sarah Eichler, 15th ranked Delaware won the CAA Title by getting past Drexel 59-56 as Elena Delle Donne made the nets holla for their dolla’ with 28 points, Wichita State knocked off Illinois State 69-65 to claim the MVC Title and Quinnipiac totally embarrassed St. Francis 72-33, ouch to notch the NEC Title.

            The National Hockey League only had four games skating yesterday as the Boston Bruins lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1, the Winnipeg Jets were clobbered by the Ottawa Senators 4-1, the Buffalo Sabres were defeated by the Washington Capitals 5-3 and the Nashville Predators lost to the Edmonton Oilers 3-2.

            Kasey Kahne and Brad Keselowski battled bumpers back and forth at Bristol Motor Speedway but Kahne came out on top as he captured the checkered flag for the first time this season and Kyle Busch placed 2nd, the aforementioned Keselowski came in 3rd, Kurt Busch rolled into the 4th spot and Clint Bowyer round out the top five.

            For your 2nd Segment Quick News & Notes, offensive tackle Jake Long has agreed to a four year, $36 million dollar deal with the St. Louis Rams, the NBA has fined Milwaukee Bucks forward Larry Sanders $50,000 for using offensive language and criticizing officials, The Pac-12 Conference has fined Arizona coach Sean Miller $25,000 for confronting a game official on the floor and for acting inappropriately toward a staff member in the hallway following the 18th ranked Wildcats' loss to UCLA in the semifinals of the conference tournament, and finally, one month after a horrific wreck, Antron Brown won the GatorNationals on Sunday.
