The NBA was on and popping on Sunday with nine games as Carmelo Anthony lite it up of 36 points and 12 boards as the New York Knicks won their 12th straight against OKC Thunder 125-120, my LA Lakers were knocked off by the LA Clippers 109-95 as the Clips clinched the franchise’s first division title, the Boston Celtics made the Washington Wizards disappear 107-96 with 20 points from Brandon Bass, my home-city Orlando Magic were defeated by the Cleveland Cavaliers 91-85 as Tristan Thompson put up a double-double of 15 points and 16 monster rebounds, the Memphis Grizzlies got past the Sacramento Kings 89-87 with 25 points from Mike Conley, while the Detroit Pistons pasted the Chicago Bulls 99-85 to end their 18 game losing streak against the Bulls, the Utah Jazz moves a game and a half above the Lakers for the 8th spot as they put the Golden State Warriors on ice 97-90, the New Orleans Hornets used 20 points from Anthony Davis to defeat the Phoenix Suns 95-92 and the Chris Kaman came up Big Time with 26 points and 11 rebounds to assist the Dallas Mavericks in getting the win 96-91 win over the Portland Trailblazers.

The American League in Major League Baseball had the New York Yankees getting the SHUT OUT win against the Detroit Tigers 7-0, the Boston Red Sox pulverized and SHUT OUT the Toronto Blue Jays 13-0, the Minnesota Twins got the one run win 4-3 over the Baltimore Orioles 4-3,the Cleveland Indians manhandled and SHUT OUT the Tampa Bay Rays 13-0, while 10 innings were needed for the Chicago White Sox to get past the Seattle Mariners 4-3, the Oakland A’s hammered the Houston Astros 9-3 and the LA Angels were whipped by the Texas Rangers 7-3.

The National Hockey League skated to the tune of eight games on Sunday as the St. Louis Blues SHUT OUT the Detroit Red Wings 1-0, the Dallas Stars won 5-4 in a shoot-out over the San Jose Sharks, the Ottawa Senators lost 2-1 to the Florida Panthers, the Minnesota Wild SHUT OUT the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-0, the Tampa Bay Lighting were defeated by the Washington Capitals 4-2, while the Nashville Predators were clobbered by the Chicago Blackhawks 5-3 as the Blackhawks is the first team to clinch a playoff spot, a shoot-out was needed for the Buffalo Sabres to knocked off the New Jersey Devils 3-2 and the defending champions LA Kings lost 4-3 in a shoot-out to the Anaheim Ducks.
