Khwai Leonard tied his career
playoff scoring record with 37 points
A trio of game 2’s were played on the parquet last night as we journey to Oh Canada as the Toronto Raptors were looking even up the series against my home city Orlando Magic and the basketball didn’t show any love to the Magic with 37% from field, 54% from the charity stripe and not to mention 17 turnovers didn’t help their cause. But the Raptors came out aggressive as Kawhi Leonard established himself early and had the ball disappearing into the nets with 37 points and Kyle Lowry redeemed himself with 22 points as the Raptors toppled, tamed and tranquilized, Alliteration, I Love It, the Magic 111 – 82 to even up the series 1 – 1.

Jamal Murray played
hero ball!!!
The second game that tipped off was in the Mile High City as the Denver Nuggets were also looking to even up the series against the San Antonio Spurs as the Spurs led by 10 at half-time. The third period was closely contested, but in the fourth frame, Jamal Murray found his stroke and had the nets singing as he finished with a team high of 24 points as three other Nuggets players scored at least 20 as the Nuggets even the series 1 – 1 against the Spurs with the 114 – 105 final score as coach Mike Malone notched his first postseason win.

CJ rising high above the competition
For the last game, we travel to The City of Roses as the Portland Trailblazers were seeking to place the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 0 – 2 hole and Thunder actually sprinted off to a nice start, but the challenge throughout the course of the game was the awful shooting woes of Russell Westbrook with his anemic performance of hoisting 20 shots with only 14 points, 6 turnovers and -27 in the plus/minus stat. While Westbrook was bad, CJ McCollum was just that good with a sizzling game high of 33 points and his point guard in Damian Lillard was not too shabby himself with 27 points as the Blazers outlasted the Thunder 114 – 94 to take a commanding 2 – 0 series lead.
