Pascal had a career night!!! |
Ohhhhhweeeeee!
Another round of game threes were on the hard-court as the playoff rolls on! My
home city Orlando Magic played their first home playoff game since 2012 as they
came back with the split against the Toronto Raptors as the Raptors only led by
3 at halftime. But in the 3rd period, the Raptors extended that
lead, but the Magic wouldn’t disappear as they kept it close, but fell short
and took the L 98 – 95 as Pascal Siakim had a career night with a double-double
of 30 net popping points and 11 boards and the Raptors take a 2 – 1 series
lead.

Kyrie Irving leading his C's! |
The
Indiana Pacers were at home against the Boston Celtics as they were looking to capitalize
on some home cooking and avoid going in the 0 – 3 hole for the series and for
the most part, they were headed in the right direction as they held a sliiiiim
61 – 59 halftime lead. But the 3rd period yet again, got in their
way as the Pacers only scored 12 points and the C’s turned up the defensive pressure.
After that, the Celtic’s would not relinquish the lead as Kyrie Irving notched
a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists as the Celtics scored the 104 –
96 win to take a no turning back 3 – 0 series lead.

Westbrook finally showed up!!! |
The
last game of the night witnessed the Oklahoma City Thunder trying to notch
their first win of the series against the Portland Trailblazers, as they too
were headed in the right direction as
they went on a 10 – 1 run to close out the 2nd period to lead
by 10 at halftime. While the 3rd period got in the Pacers way, it
surely did not get in the Trailblazers way as they had the nets screaming uncle
by dropping 43 points and would eventually tie the game. But the Thunder
reestablished themselves in the 4th and never looked back as they
shot 52% from three, which was far better than the 16% in Games 1 & 2 as
they claimed the 120 – 108 victory as Russell Westbrook rocked the baby with 33
points and 11 assists as they now are 1 – 2 in the series.
