Western Conference Finals |
Game
3 of the Western Conference Finals lands us in the City of Roses as the
Portland Trailblazers were looking for some amazing grace themselves as they
were trying to avoid going down 0 – 3 against the Golden State Warriors! Both
teams came out of the gate pretty much tit for tat and after the conclusion of
the 1st frame, the Blazers led by two, but the 2nd
period, the Blazers was a thorn in the Warriors side as they erupted for 37
points to go up by as much as 18 as the home crowd gave them the energy they
needed to take an 13 point lead into the half 66- 53.

Draymond Green posted his 3rd triple-double during the 2019 playoffs |
The
home crowd that was raucous and provided a boost for the Blazers in the 1st
half however, suddenly had crickets in
their pockets in the 2nd because it was the Warriors who erupted in
the 3rd period and went on a 22 – 6 run behind the stellar,
sensational and spectacular, Alliteration, I Love It, play of Draymond Green
who finished with his seventh post season triple-double and the most in
Warriors post-season history with 20 points, game highs of 13 rebounds and 12
assists and threw in a game high of 4 steals for good measure as the Warriors took
the lead at the end of the 3rd 82 – 79 as their wall of defense made
sure it wasn’t Dame Time! The Blazers didn’t do themselves any favors at the
free throw line as they missed 13 for a 60% conversion rate and Steph Curry
scored at least 35 in five consecutive playoff games as he torched the Blazers
with 36 points as the Warriors knock off the Blazers 110 – 99 to take a 3 – 0
series lead.

Iggy left the game with a lower leg injury |
For
your In Game News, Warriors guard Andre Igoudala, who is averaging 10 points, 4
rebounds and 4 assists a game during the playoffs, only played 17 minutes in
the game as he experienced soreness in his left calf and will have an MRI later
today and finally, the backcourt of the Warriors in Curry and Klay Thompson
have outscored the Blazers backcourt in Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum by 55,
178 – 123. Ouch. And Paul Pierce said the backcourt was a wash. Yea…right.
