Kawhi Leonard yet AGAIN led the Raptors to victory! |
Game
5, Game 5, Game 5….who’s gonna look alive! The Toronto Raptors took care of
business on their home-court as they evened the series to earn the right to go
back to the Milwaukee Bucks for a Game 5. The Bucks got a little home cooking
as they came out of the forest running and gunning and by midway through the 1st
frame, they were up by 14 with no signs of letting up! By the end of the 1st,
the Raptors were staring down a 10 point deficit. But they righted the ship and
went on a 14 – 2 run to start the 2nd period behind a couple of
three’s from Pascal Siakim who finished with a double-double of 14 points and
10 rebounds and buy the half, the Raptors trimmed the lead to three 49 – 46.
Both teams scored the same amount of points of 26 and Fred Van Fleet, the new
father whose son was birthed into God’s Great Green Globe, Alliteration, I Love
It, on Monday had a career night of 7 three pointers with three of them in the
3rd and outscored the entire Bucks bench 21 – 15. Speaking of three’s,
the Raptors notched a franchise record of 18 three’s in a game! By the 4th,
Kawhi Leonard, who apparently had some of the Bucks leftover home cooking, played
the entire quarter and went on a tear as he scored or assisted on 20
consecutive points as the Raptors outscored the Bucks 33 – 24 in the final
frame with Kawhi notching 35 basket filling points to go along with a career
high of 9 assists and Kyle Lowry scored 17 as he surpassed DeMar DeRozan as
franchise leader in points with 1,126 as the Raptors take the pivotal 3 – 2 series
lead and will look to close out the series on Saturday night.
