Pascal had a career night!!!
Ohhhhhweeeeee! Another round of game threes were on the hard-court as the playoff rolls on! My home city Orlando Magic played their first home playoff game since 2012 as they came back with the split against the Toronto Raptors as the Raptors only led by 3 at halftime. But in the 3rd period, the Raptors extended that lead, but the Magic wouldn’t disappear as they kept it close, but fell short and took the L 98 – 95 as Pascal Siakim had a career night with a double-double of 30 net popping points and 11 boards and the Raptors take a 2 – 1 series lead.
Kyrie Irving leading his C's!

The Indiana Pacers were at home against the Boston Celtics as they were looking to capitalize on some home cooking and avoid going in the 0 – 3 hole for the series and for the most part, they were headed in the right direction as they held a sliiiiim 61 – 59 halftime lead. But the 3rd period yet again, got in their way as the Pacers only scored 12 points and the C’s turned up the defensive pressure. After that, the Celtic’s would not relinquish the lead as Kyrie Irving notched a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists as the Celtics scored the 104 – 96 win to take a no turning back 3 – 0 series lead.

Westbrook finally showed up!!!
The last game of the night witnessed the Oklahoma City Thunder trying to notch their first win of the series against the Portland Trailblazers, as they too were headed in the right direction as  they went on a 10 – 1 run to close out the 2nd period to lead by 10 at halftime. While the 3rd period got in the Pacers way, it surely did not get in the Trailblazers way as they had the nets screaming uncle by dropping 43 points and would eventually tie the game. But the Thunder reestablished themselves in the 4th and never looked back as they shot 52% from three, which was far better than the 16% in Games 1 & 2 as they claimed the 120 – 108 victory as Russell Westbrook rocked the baby with 33 points and 11 assists as they now are 1 – 2 in the series.

Recap Of NBA First Round Playoff Games For Thursday, April 18th Feat. Good Friday, Scores, Stats & News & Notes!

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross, the emblem of suffering and shame. And I love that old cross where the dearest and best, for a world of lost sinners was slain. Happy Good Friday!

Tobias Harris posted playoff
career highs
The NBA was rocking last night with three different game three’s as teams look to establish their position in the series as the Philadelphia 76er’s were without their star center in Joel Embiid with Uncle Tendinitis in his knee as they faced off against the Brooklyn Nets. No Emiid??? No problem!! They had Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons and J.J. Reddick as each scored 26 points or more and Harris had a career postseason high with 26 points and 16 BIG BOY rebounds as they clobbered the Nets 131 – 115 to take a 2 – 1 series lead.

Derrick White also posted playoff
career highs
The second game on the hard court, we travel to the state I’m in, DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS as the San Antonio Spurs were looking to break the tie and go up 2 – 1 in the series against the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets put up a good fight and kept the game interesting, but obviously they did not know what to do with the Spurs second year guard in Derrick White as he wanted all the smoke because he was on fiya with a career postseason high of 36 points and DeMar Derozan chipped in 25 as the Spurs were successful in finding what they were looking for, the 2 – 1 series lead.

I'm Kevin Durant...ya'll know who
I am!!!
And finally, the last game on tap, the Golden State Warriors were looking to bounce back from their shocking loss to the LA Clippers and right the ship to go 2 – 1 in the series. But in order to do so, Kevin Durant needed to get the pesky Patrick Beverly off his hip. The Warriors came out running and gunning by scorching the Clippers with 41 points in the first period while shooting 73% as Kevin Durant (audio inserted) hit his first five shots and Kevin Durant (audio inserted) had no problems with the pest and lit the Clippers up with 38 points and 7 assists as the Warriors pummeled, pulverized and punished, Alliteration, I Love It, the Clippers 132 – 105 to right the ship and claim the 2 – 1 series lead.

I think Ben has been found...
For your Quick NBA News & Notes, Tim Hardaway, Jr. of the Dallas Mavericks underwent surgery for a stress fracture in his lower left leg and should be ready for the start of training camp and Kyle Anderson of the Memphis Grizzlies underwent surgery on his right shoulder. And lastly, someone placed a missing poster in Brooklyn for Ben Simmons of the 76er’s due to the fact that he doesn’t take jumpers or can’t take a jumper. Well anyway, he showed the Philly fans that he doesn’t need a jump shot to score a playoff career high of 31 points.
