Joel was the
Big Man On the Court!
The playoffs in the NBA continues to churn on the hard-court with Game 3 as the Philadelphia 76er’s played host to the Toronto Raptors as each team were looking to get a game up on the other. The 76er’s came out of the gate running and gunning and wanted to show the Raptors ain’t humping around as they took a 64 – 53 into the half. The Raptors kind of settled down in the 3rd and won that frame, but the 76er’s used a 21 – 3 run in the 4th to wrestle control of the game that was precipitated by a flagrant foul against Pascol Siakim as he intentionally tripped Joel Embiid, who dominated the game like he was the BMOC, Big Man On the Court with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks and Jimmy Butler nearly scored his first triple double in the playoffs with 29 points, 9 boards and 9 assists as six starters were in double figures as the 76er’s whipped, walloped and wacked, Alliteration, I Love It the Raptors 116 – 95 as the 76er’s notched the 2 – 1 series lead.

Russell caught with the sticky icky
For your Quick NBA News & Notes, after receiving what he calls mistreatment from the Denver Nuggets fans and NBA Turkey Twitter account, Portland Trailblazers Turkish center Enes Kanter, received support from the National Basketball Players Association, Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry participated in a full practice after dislocating the middle finger of his left hand, and finally, Brooklyn Nets point guard DeAngelo Russell was cited after being caught with less than 50 grams of marijuana at New York's LaGuardia Airport following a baggage check. The sticky icky was located in a hidden compartment in an Arizona Iced Tea can. Welp, as Steven A. Smith would, “stay off the weeeeeeed”.

Game 2 Of The Western Conference Semifinal On May 1st Feat. Scores, Stats, A Cracked Nose & An Encouraging Word!

CJ netted the high score for
the Blazers
The Mile High City was bloody popping last night, pun intended, but more on that later as the Denver Nuggets were in search of the 2 – 0 series lead against the Portland Trailblazers and both teams held their own in the 1st period, but the 2nd painted a different picture. Speaking of painting, Nuggets guard Torrey Craig suffered a broken nose in the 2nd period and all he saw was red from his bloody nose. He had a nose issue earlier in the season, so he already had a fitted mask which allowed him to return to the lineup and was effective. Back to the 2nd period, as the Nuggets could only muster 12 points and the Blazers scored 10 more to take a 50 – 35 lead into the half. The Nuggets came out more aggressive in the 2nd and their shots were falling as they were able to cut into the lead. A little skirmish ensued in the 4th as Enes Kanter, from a push from Nikola Jokic, bumped into Craig and his cracked nose and Kanter and Jamal Murray had to be separated and both were issued double technical. But at the end of the day, the Blazers behind CJ McCollum’s 20 points,  Kanter’s 15 and 9 rebounds and 33 bench points, the Blazers even up the series 1 – 1 against the Nuggets with 97 – 90 victory.

Gesson Rosas makes
Latino American History!
For your Quick NBA News & Notes, Latino American History was made when the Minnesota Timberwolves hired Houston Rockets executive Gersson Rosas as their President of Basketball Operations as he becomes the NBA’s first Latino top basketball executive and finally, James Harden of the Houston Rockets, who suffered a laceration on his left eyelid in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semi’s against the Golden State Warriors, tests revealed that there is no damage to either of his corneas.
