Steph Curry was in the kitchen with 37 points |
The
Western Conference Finals kept churning last night on the hard-court in
California as the Portland Trailblazers looked to bounce back from the Game 1
loss to the Golden State Warriors. The Blazers made their adjustments from Game
1 and came out Blazing as they were hitting on all cylinders as they took a 31 –
29 lead heading into the 2nd period. Speaking of the 2nd,
the Blazers poured on more of the same as they did in the 1st as
they eventually converted on 18 three’s for 46% and the Warriors only converted
on 9 three’s for 31% as the Blazers went into the half up by 15, 65 - 50 which
was assisted by converting 10 Warriors turnovers into 18 points. With the
Warriors out rebounding the Blazers by 13 and fueled by 9 blocks for the game,
that helped to breathe life into a Warriors 24 – 6 run in the 3rd as
they outscored the Blazers 39 – 24 and by end of the 3rd, the game
was tied 89 – 89. Fast forward to 4:20 left in the game with the Warriors down
by 8, they went on a an experienced flurry that had Draymond Green’s name all
over it, who finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 blocks and
with a Andre Igoudala’s block of Damian Lillard’s three point attempt, that
help seal the deal as the Warriors posted the their 2nd largest halftime
comeback in the playoffs to notch the win 114 – 111 as Steph Curry was a Sensational
Chef yet again with 37 net popping points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists as they
take a 2 – 0 series lead.
