Kyle Lowry show up in Game 4
The Eastern Conference Finals was rolling last night as the Toronto Raptors wanted to wash, rinse and repeat from their performance in Game 3 to try to even up the series 2 – 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks but needed a collective effort to do so. With 50 plus total minutes played in Game 3 for Pascal Siakim and Kawhi Leonard, they came out of the gate a little sluggish, but their teammates picked up what they could not put down and held down the fort after trailing 12 – 5 before finding their footing and led 32 – 31 after the 1st period. The Raptors went on 9 – 0 run to begin the 2nd with Serge Ibaka’s surging offense as he notched 10 of his 17 points in the 2nd and added multiple offensive and defensive rebounds as the Raptors led 65 – 55 at the half. With Kawhi scoring waaaaay below his average of 32 points per game during the playoffs compared to only 19 points last night, that collective effort came from Kyle Lowry with 25 points and 6 assists and Marc Gasol chipped in 17 along with a team high of 7 assists. Giannis Antetokounmpo had a much improved game than he had in Game 3 and put up a double-double with 25 points and 10 boards while Kris Middleton poured in 30, but it was the Raptors bench that put in yeoman’s work and outscored the Bucks bench 48 – 23 as the Raptors took care of business on their home court and knotted the series 2 – 2 with the 120 – 102 win.

For your NBA Quick News & Notes, the Portland Trail Blazers and head coach Terry Stotts have agreed to a multiyear contract extension as the team announced yesterday, but the team did not disclose terms and finally, the first five picks of the 2018 draft would make up the 2019 All-Rookie first team as Deandre Ayton of the Suns, Marvin Bagley III of the Kings, Luka Doncic of the Mavericks, Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Grizzlies and Trae Young of the Hawks all have been selected.

Draymond & Steph, 1st teammates
to notch a triple-double in the playoffs
The Portland Trailblazers were seeking some type of mojo at the Moda Center as they faced a must win or a must go home in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors! Both teams were playing like they were at Rucker’s Park with some pick up ball action as they were scorching hot in shooting the rock and after the 1st frame, Golden State led by one 36 – 35. The Blazers kept up the pressure in the 2nd frame especially with the career high night from with Myles Leonard who finished with a double-double of 12 rebounds and the highest points he has ever scored in college or in the NBA of 30 points and the Blazers took a 69 – 65 lead into halftime. The Blazers went on a run late in the 3rd and much like the previous three games, put the Warriors in a gigantic and grand double digit deficit, Alliteration, I Love It, and went up by 17 as the Blazers backcourt in CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard, finally matched the Warriors backcourt in point production of Klay Thompson and Steph Curry with 54 points, but the Warriors mindset is that they are never out of the fight and with God your side, neither are you, however comma I digress!

Golden State Warriors:
Western Conference Chanmpions
With less than five minutes left in the 4th, McCollum missed an 18 foot jumper and with a layup by Steph Curry, it tied the game at 104 and neither team could one up the other and ended regulation tied at 111. In overtime, both teams went back and forth, back and forth until Draymond Green, who is shooting 20% from the arc, nailed the eventual go ahead three and finished with another triple-double of 18 points, 14 boards and 11 dimes and his point guard Curry, also finished with a triple-double of 37 points, 13 boards and 11 dimes as the pair became the first teammates with a triple-double in the playoffs and swept the Blazers 119 – 117 to take the Western Conference crown and became the sixth professional team from North America to go five straight championships.

Golden State on the way to
The Finals
For your NBA Quick News & Notes, with Warriors win to earn a trip to The Finals, they became the first team since the 1966 Boston Celtics to advance to five consecutive Finals, Steph Curry is now just the sixth player in NBA history to score 35 or more points in each of the first four games of a series, joining Elgin Baylor, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Bernard King and Jerry West and Tim Connelly, the Denver Nuggets' president of basketball operations, has turned down an offer to run the Washington Wizards' front office, according to league sources.
