Klay Thompson finished with 25 points before exiting in the 4th |
Speaking
of rolling, The NBA Finals kept rolling, rolling, rolling in the country of
Canada as the Toronto Raptors were looking to wash, rinse and repeat as they
sought to hand the Golden State Warriors another defeat at ScotiaBank Arena!
The Warriors, who were still without Kevin Durant inserted a new lineup during
this series with DeMarcus Cousins, who have missed the last 45 days due to a
torn quad, started the game and both teams kind of started off slow and
finished the 1st frame scoring under 30 with the Raptors leading 27 –
26. The Raptors turned up the heat a little in the 2nd as Boogie
Cousins made a contribution of 7 points in said quarter and he finished the
game with a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds with 6 assists to boot
as he outplayed the front court of Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka, but Raptors went
into the half leading 59 – 54. In addition to being down at the half points
wise, the Warriors will be down a player as Kevon Looney suffered a collar bone
injury and would not return. However, the Warriors went bonkers, and befuddled
and bamboozled, Alliteration, I Love It, the Raptors in the 3rd and ran off an 18 – 0 run
in the first 5:30 of the period that was spearheaded by a stifling defense,
sensational three pointers and stellar passing and after the dust had settled,
the Raptors Danny Green stated “it felt like we forgot how to play basketball
for a second” and the Warriors took a commanding 72 – 59 lead with 6:35 ticks
left in the 3rd and would maintain an 88 – 80 lead going into the
fourth.

Andre Igoudala nailed the go ahead three pointer |
The Warriors were forced to continue the fourth without their leading
scorer of the game as Klay Thompson, who finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds
and 5 assists, went down with a hamstring injury and would not return and is
scheduled for an MRI later today. From 5:18 to 26.9 seconds left in the game, the
Raptors went on a run, 10 – 0 and would only be down by two as they trapped
Steph Curry, who finished with 23 points and three steals, who passed out of
the trap to Shaun Livingston, who when then passed to Andre Igoudala, 2015 Finals
MVP, and he casually, calmly and coolly, Alliteration, I Told You I Love It, drained
a 27 foot three that would ultimately seal the deal as they steal home court
advantage with the 109 – 104 win and set an NBA record with at least one road
win in 23 consecutive playoff series.
